Farzi – The Modern Indian

It was a dinner date with mom and I had to plan out a place in Aerocity so where else could I be when this is the most popular choice. And now I know why is it so. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, ambiance needs no description.

Modern Indian food to a class – amuse-bouche to the desserts the meal was curated with love.

We tried –
•Braised Mutton Chops – huge chops with tender meat and braized in a sweet and spicy sauce. A tinge of sweetness on the first and aptly spicy to the end.
•Mini Raj Kachori – a kachori so delicate and then topped with a molecular foam of Imly ki chutney.
•Galouti Kebab with Ulta Tawa parantha – say no more – the best galouti that I have tried in the whole of NCR region. Each flavor was distinct yet jelled up well.
•Farzi fried chicken – fried chicken served with dip.
•Nihari – worth dying for and mind you this has given damn serious competition to Delhi-6 restaurants.
•Leek Yakhni – a must and they serve it well – skip any of the above to have this with lachcha parantha and you won’t regret.
•chocolate dome – flambé did to perfection and the brownie taste super awesome!
•coco butter Jamun – ohhhh the melting gulab jamuns with the caramelized white chocolate and chashni. I could have had at least 2 more but my stomach was so full.
While to accompany the food and pairing some super cool cocktails
We had – Gulab Jamun – don’t be surprised it was bourbon whiskey-based cocktail with some vodka. Paired very well with Yakhni
Red wine Sangria – not super strong yet a very delicate flavor to it – Paired super cool with nihari and that was our second round.
Chuski – a must try from the Cocktail section – aampanna based cocktail and chuski to it. Revolutionary change. I not having normal chuski ever again.

After all this we had, we could barely walk. Thanks to the super cool team – Chef Hiten, Girish and Ashutosh for making our outing worthwhile. Loved it.
